We compare our stores to oases in the city. Environments in which our customers will spend time skimming our wide assortment of furniture, textiles, home- and gardening accessories. Our stores are created to offer a blend of impressions; sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch are all cared for. At R.O.O.M. our customers can leave the urban noise and stress behind and pause for a while.

Hans Axelsson and Klas Litzén started the first R.O.O.M. in 1988 with a sincere interest for furniture, design and architecture. One thing was clear to them right from the beginning; if you really, really enjoy what you are doing, things will turn out just fine.

The years passed, and the duo opened stores in Oslo (1997), in Gothenburg (2001) and in Copenhagen (2003). In retrospect, it looks like they really, really must have enjoyed what they were doing. R.O.O.M. was, and still is, a project driven by passion. We hope, and believe it shows.
